Short description

Crown Shuffle is a fast medieval party card game for 2–8 players. Shed your cards first to become King, finish last and become the Peasant, then hand your two best cards to the crown. Fifteen minutes a round.

Long description

Crown Shuffle takes the climbing card games people already half-know, like President, and adds a world and a cast worth talking about. It's the year 1300 and the Dark Ages never happened, so the kingdom's 14 roles, from the Beggar to the Royal Advisor, carry tablets, headphones and electric lutes. Each round, players race to empty their hands. The winners rise in rank, the losers hand over their best cards, and two Crown wild cards and 14 ability cards (7 useful, 7 rather pointless) keep anyone from getting comfortable. It's quick to learn, fast to play and best enjoyed with people you don't mind betraying.
